About This Project

Redesigning the Layout
The initial step in this project was to address the existing extension’s layout. We recognised the potential for an open-plan kitchen and dining area that would promote a sense of space and flow. By redesigning this layout, we created a seamless connection between the indoor living areas and the outdoor garden.

To further enhance this connection, we installed glass sliding doors that open directly onto the rear garden. This not only allows an abundance of natural light to flood the kitchen but also creates a harmonious transition to the outdoor space, making it ideal for entertaining and family gatherings.

Upgrading and Modernising
In addition to the layout changes, we undertook a full refurbishment of the house, which included:

• New Bathroom: A stylish and functional bathroom was created, featuring modern fixtures that elevate the overall aesthetic of the home.
• Interior Redecoration: The entire interior was redecorated, providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere throughout the property.
• Light LVT Flooring: We fitted a light luxury vinyl tile (LVT) floor over a new underfloor heating system, ensuring warmth and comfort while maintaining a sleek appearance.

Modern Amenities
Recognising the importance of modern conveniences, we updated the electrics in the areas we worked on. Additionally, a new boiler and cylinder were installed, bringing the plumbing system up to date and ensuring efficient heating and hot water supply.

To maximise space and enhance the design, we built two TV recesses into a feature wall. This clever design choice not only provides a stylish focal point in the living area but also optimises the available space, creating a clean and uncluttered look.

A Light and Airy Feel
The overall design of the refurbished home exudes a light and airy feel, complemented by modern touches that add sophistication. The combination of natural light, open spaces, and thoughtful design elements contributes to a welcoming environment that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come.
